  1. Love the graffiti vs mural vs art discussion. A lot of good art pushes boundaries and is often accepted even if illegal. I have heard of technologists using robots for illegal activities in cooperation with artists to give them legitimacy and protection from prosecution! A pointed example was a journalist who instructed a bot to buy illegal drugs and other items in the deep web using bitcoins. He then handed the goods over to the police and pleaded art and got away with it. They kept the drugs though.

    Rules must be broken.

    • Wow – here I was defending street art as an idealistic form of expression every bit as relevant as gallery snob fests, and now I’m left pondering illicit shenanigans swaddled in artistic defense strategies. Holy crap! Thank you I think πŸ™‚
