Ehrlich and Obama’s science adviser John Holdren, warned of a new ice age.

  1. You’re not a global-warming denialist, are you? Frankly nothing Ehrlich said would surprise me, but the blog this is copied from looks like a standard wingnut anti-science crank site, and the myth that scientists en masse were predicting “global cooling” in the 1970s is one of the standard lines of attack of today’s denialists.

  2. Put me down as a Wing Nut: I can remember when the planet turning into a giant snowball was a popular (and actually very serious) issue.

    To stop us entering the ‘man made’ new Ice Age the idea was mooted that we should coat the ice caps with good old soot. (You know, suck in rather than reflect that vital life giving solar heat.)

    As for the over population problem … nothing a good nuclear war couldn’t fix, right? The nutcases and fruit-loops crawled out of the woodwork with all their bright ideas—they still do, ever shall do … and we elect them.*

    * You do—I never vote, for obvious reasons. Yeuch.
